I just started using Quire, and have added some ongoing projects, and tasks/sub-tasks to the projects. Can I change the date of "completion" for any of the tasks to the actual completion date prior to starting Quire?
@crystal Hi Crystal. I sthis available now? I would like to edit start and end dates on some tasks, to correct errors for example 😃

Hi Elizabeth, Unfortunately, the completed date of a task (aka the date and time when you marked it as complete) cannot be changed. May I ask why you want to change it (eg., for reporting purpose)?

@crystal For reporting purposes would be the best way to describe it - If the date/time that the task was marked as complete was done on a different date from when it was actually done for whatever reason, I would love the ability to change it to the correct date/time for reporting purposes - like the beautiful visuals you have on the main project pages.

Do you mean you would like to be able to change the completion date of a recurring task? And if you can change the completion date, do you not want the new completion date to create a new recurring task? Please let me know if this is what you are looking for. Thank you.

I'm also interested. My issue is that if I complete a task but I don't mark it on the day, If I want to mark it as completed the next day on a recurring task it will complete the instance for today. Tasks will be completed without having access to quire and then it's impossible to mark them completed on the right day.

I know I can use the option that undone recurring tasks pile up until done, but this specific task should both not pile up and be marked as completed at a time before when it is marked as completed. I personally don't need to reuse that date information (although it seems others interested in the same feature do), but the task shouldn't be marked as overdue because i couldn't click completed on the day before while it actually as been completed but I have no way to indicate it was completed the day before after the day has passed. Not sure if it makes sense?
