At present you can't add new tasks when in certain views on the Android client. For example, when viewing a smart-folder.
It would be great to have the + button available on that view - although obviously it requires one extra piece of info when creating a task - namely which org/project you want to add to.

Hi Jesse, That is because Smart Folder is not yet added to our Android app. But you can use it in your Android browser, and add new tasks by sliding a task from right to left. Just like how you would do it in the native app.
