Hi there,
First of all, let me say that I've been searching for 12 hours straight, and have looked at over 30 'task management' apps - and they all get it wrong.
Quire is the first one I have found that gets it. Two things: Hierarchy, Multi parenting.
Without those two; you are only constraining your users thought patterns.
The only other system I have seen that gets it is Wrike; but they shut out non-businesses by having a crippled Freemium plan, and no 'Individual' licenses.
The only thing missing for me is Folders to organise tasks into. It looks to me like the way Quire works is that you can use 'surrogate tasks' as folders.
That's great; but what I'd REALLY LOVE to see is to be able to navigate tasks in the left hand side panel, and see their subtasks appear in the main task-list panel.
This would basically be the same as 'zooming' a task, and would make navigating very large lists more bearable; being able to have the tree in 'outline' view on the left, and 'zoomed' view in the middle.
Similar, in a way, to how a file explorer works.
Keep up the great work! Showing great promise.
Hi Jesse, Awesome to hear you are loving it. 😃 Here is an idea: be able to see a list of subtasks of a task in its right detail panel. Perhaps it would help?

Hi Crystal. Seeing the sub-tasks within the right-hand detail panel would be useful for some things - but it would not create the same level of visibility and ease of navigation as the idea I mentioned.
I have created some example screen shots to show what I mean.
