Keep the "Edit" mode active when I switch to another window/app in Windows

Hi, When I am editing a to-do item and then ALT+TAB out of the browser to another application, like Notepad, the editing mode ends. This makes it very difficult to switch between applications when I am pasting text and to-do's from external programs.

So if the window or the Edit box loses focus when I switch to another program, the edit mode should stay on and the current item, so I can switch back, paste some text into the edit box WITHOUT clicking it again to start editing again.

In most applications, the current textbox remained selected and highlighted, so I can switch back to that window and continue typing or paste more text.
