Hi,

Again, great app! Many other apps allow multi-line text in the Title or Name line. I'm not a fan of entering descriptions because they appear in the right pane - and I have to take my eyes off the list. Why not simply allow line breaks on the item Name, so I can enter more text?

Hi Alexander, What if we show you the description of each task in the middle main panel? For example, press Ctrl (or Alt for Mac) then hover each task’s description icon to see it.

Adding my own vote for this, over 2 years later. 😃 I've been loving this multi-line title feature in iOS since you added it, and it would be great in the web version as well!

Hi Crystal, I'm not sure what you mean by middle main panel 😃 Maybe I'm the only one interested in the line-breaks in the names, but long strings are hard to read (they span across the entire screen). I think the recommended width is 74 chars, after which your eyes' travel distance becomes unpleasant :-)

A related problem is that the tooltip which tries to show the long items, when you hover over them is also hard to read - it can be super long (and also only one line).

What about this: can the tooltip "wrap around" around 70-80 characters? Then users can enter long titles, and still view them easily:

(o) Buy milk because milk is good and I don't drink enough

let's say the item above was veeeeery long. Then the tooltip would look like this:

Buy milk because milk is good and I don't drink enough of it

(about 70-80 chars wide).

It sounds complicated :-)... Maybe I just need to use the Details more often.

Ok! Thanks for writing back!

@leighgraner - unfortunately, we won't be implementing multiple lines for task name.
