Feature Request: Filter by leaves

Not sure why I wrote that! I was thinking "tasks that others are dependent upon" and called it a dependent task :/ At any rate, that is probably not true either for you have Main Task C.

The point is you have a useful point because Sub Subtask B2i can't be completed until Sub Subtask B2ix is marked complete

Hi Wayne and Matthew, In other words, there are 2 different filter options here: filter by “precedent” tasks and by tasks “without any subtasks” (at the lowest level). 😃 And yes, assigning tasks to yourself then filtering by assignee is one workaround.

That is pretty cool. So you are basically trying to find all tasks that are DEPENDENT on other tasks?

I take that back. These are tasks that don't have DEPENDENTS. See "Main Task C" above.

Yes, that's it! What I tend to do now is just assign (mostly) myself to leaf tasks and so I filter them by assignee.

Hello Crystal, yes, those are the two filter options. Of the two, the "without any sub tasks" seems very useful!

Hi! Hmm.... not really I think. The best way to describe it is to only show tasks that don't have child tasks. So for example I have these tasks:

• Main Task A
  • Subtask A1
  • Subtask A2
    • Sub Subtask A2i
• Main Task B
  • Subtask B1
    • Sub Subtask B1i
    • Sub Subtask B2i
      • Sub Subtask B2ix
• Main Task C

If there was a "leaf filter" and I use it, I will get this:

• Subtask A1
• Sub Subtask A2i
• Sub Subtask B1i
• Sub Subtask B2ix
• Main Task C
