#577: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

It'd be great if there was more control over the type of email notifications received. For our needs, getting an email when someone simply changes the name of a task is overkill and results in needless inbox clutter.

However, we would like for users to be notified when a task is completed or they are "at mentioned" in a comment. There seems to be no way to subscribe to only those types of notifications. Am I missing something?

Hi Steve, It is not possible at the moment but it is already being considered. 😃 Fyi, you can choose how often you want to receive email notifications in your Account Settings. It might help.

+1 for this, notifications at the moment are useless because you either have them on in which case every small action creates a notification flooding you with messages or of course you unfollow the task, unless its assigned to you in which case you still get flooded.

IMHO there should be some granular control over what generates a 'notification' , i would even accept having it as a global rule instead of per task or project. Anything would to stop the current tsunami of notifications 😞

Actually, just noticed this was for email notifications, so a bit of a misplaced rant, but valid none the less :p

Hi Shimon, It will still happen but as we have other priorities (see here), we have not gotten to it yet. 😞 Will keep you guys posted.
