#5596: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

Currently it is pasted as png. The png image takes up too much storage space. Why not use jpg?

Hi @toonitw, When you copy and paste the image into the browser, the image file will change to PNG.

If you want the image to be JPG, you will need to drag and drop the image into the browser so it will remain in the original file type.

I hope this helps!

Hi @Raisag, I know.  But the Quire backend server can convert pasted images to JPG files.  By doing this, everyone saves their storage space. It also saves network traffic.

Maybe this issue is not a top priority. But the dev team has to think about it.

Hi @toonitw, Unfortunately, this is not supported at the moment. When you paste an image from the clipboard, it will be stored as a PNG file.

You can only drag and drop the image to keep the file as a JPG. Thank you.
