#546: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

Will the discription of the task transfer as the event calender Event notes field? I'm not sure about the implementation of this at the moment.

If the task has a location, will this transfer to the calender event?

Example: I've set up a recurring task in Quire that says something like 'Every Wednesday between 1-3pm I will be available for clients to call me' will this transfer to the calender and mark me as available for those two hours?

An example would be a physical meeting or say collecting an item. If I had to meet someone at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublinn, it would make sense for the address to be passed on to my calendar as a location. I think Google calendar creates a map or a link to Google maps.

The example you gave for a recurring task is clear and great. My thinking is that for a shared calendar or a public one, I would like clients to see when I am available and suggest a time and date to me via gooCal. This would require that time just to marked as available and appear as 'Dave is available for meetings during this time. Book a meeting via gooCal' or whatever it was.

  • Another example would be if I was giving a talk. I would want it to be marked in my calendar with location and time and I would expect me to flagged as busy in my calendar. *In addition Google calendar differentiates between public and private entries so if I publish the calendar, my holiday details are not published if they are flagged as private.

Hi Dave, Yes, the description of the task will appear in the description field of the event in the calendar. What do you mean by “location of a task"? An example would be nice. You can add a recurring task called 'Every Wednesday I will be available for clients to call me' with start time 1pm and due time 3pm on 08/16, and then sync to calendar.

Then, you should see an event with the same name appear in the calendar between 1pm and 3pm on 8/16. After you have completed this task in Quire, the next task (event) will appear.
