#526: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

in one task we were sort of chatting or better said brainstorming. It was great, but then suddenly I could no longer see my own postings. Is it because it got too long? And also I need to press a button "show previeous postings". That is uncool. It should always show everything to keep it simple to use and please don't limit numbers of contributions, tasks or whatsoever.

PS: I love Quire as I already mentioned 👍

Hi Karlheinz, Can you please let us know:

  1. if you can see your missing comments after refreshing the page?
  2. if you can see your missing comments after accessing the same task in a different browser?
  3. if your team member FB can see your missing comments at his end?

They will help us diagnose the problem. Thanks! And no, there is no limit to the number of comments.

OK it is solved. In Firefox I could see the missing ones as my colleagues could see. I logged off then in Chrome and logged in again and then there they were back again. Maybe it is because I use a bookmark right into my tasks? How is the security then secured anyway - I don't need to login all the times...

Good Morning or better said good noon dear Crystal. OK that is a tolerable thought. Maybe an option you want to offer in the settings - show everything or only the X latest. But not that important.

Much more important and a real problem right now is that my comments have dissappeared for about 90%. Also among the latest 10. Right now I can see about 40 posts and among them are still some of me. But I would guess 20-30 have gone. Is there a limitation? In my profile and the list what I have done there I still can see them. But the are not displayed in the comments section anymore. It happened total suddenly after going to another task and returning then back to that "brainstorming".

It used to be like this with the bookmark. I didn't do things like Typing to the mainpage since a long time. No after logging off and in again I realize a new thing - I can see Dashlane to log me in again for new each time which I did not see before for a long time. 🤔

Quire_Karlheinz Gerster, Jul 29, 2017

No - refreshing was the first thing I tried. Also shutting down the browser. I had to log of once. Another strange thing is that after logging in again now again I see that I have to log in each time, which then automatically is done by Dashlane. Before I returned into the program without this (by bookmark). That answers my security question although I still open Quire with the same Bokkmark!

Hi Karlheinz, Got it. We will look into it. Did the missing comments appear after you refresh the page (my question 1)?

Crystal, Jul 28, 2017

Hi Karlheinz, Okay. If I understood you correctly, you mean each time you go to Quire by typing https://quire.io/ in the address bar in Chrome, it will ask you to log in again? But if you go to Quire by clicking a saved link in Bookmarks, it will NOT ask you to log in again?

Crystal, Jul 28, 2017

Hi Karlheinz, When you and your team members are discussing a task in its comments, the comments will keep appearing. It is only after you refresh the page, that you will see the 10 newest comments and need to click on "Show earlier comments" to see more. We believe that there is no need to show everything as it could be super long, old comments may be out of date, and users may just want to look at what is new at a glance. I hope that makes sense. 😃

Hi Karlheinz, Unfortunately, we still cannot reproduce the missing comments issue on our side. 😞 If you see this issue again, please let us know. Thanks! As with the log in thing, maybe it is a thing with Dashlane…? 🤔
