One feature that I would love to see in quire would be a one click "Action this day" marker that would enable to fast tag all the task that I want to do that day without moving them around my task tree and then to see them all together in a separate pane (like a task basket)
It could be a little label appearing when hovering the item OR with a keyboard shortcut like "SHIFT + CLICK" or "SHIFT + A"
I know this is close to the "favorites" but it lacks the one-click aspect

No this is not exactly what i'd like. I want to be able to mark in one click some tasks to add them in a "task basket" that I would be able to filter.
The very important part is the "one click mark"
Also I liked the one click "Action this day" mark because it illustrates well what i'd like to have and also because I like reference to Churchill's little red stickers on the urgent memos he was sending.
The key to all this is :
- browsing through the task tree
- one-click fast marking a task to terminate by the day
- seeing all the marked tasks in a separate view
It's not like "My tasks" that have all the tasks assigned to me wether I need to do them today or in a month
I hope it was a little more clear, if not I can try to do some mockups to illustrate 😃

Hi SelCam, Please let me double check if this is what you would like: Be able to see all tasks you need to do today in a single place, and move (eg. drag & drop) tasks here? We are going to bring My Tasks feature back to the sidebar so when you click on it, you will see all your tasks under Today, Tomorrow, Later, etc., based on their due dates. Perhaps it would help?

Hi SelCam, I was just wondering, did you know you can multi-select tasks, click on the Due date icon in the bottom menu bar, and choose Today?
I know it takes 2 clicks, but should be better than clicking on Today each time for each task. 😃

I see a lot of ways to acheive something similar with todays features but require at least 2 clicks (for example due date => today or create a Action this day tag and tag => select action this day tag). This is why I wanted to emphasize on the "One click action"
