I think that could be a good ability to implement. Thanks BTW for the GREAT app! - Walter
@crystal13 , yes, I'm fully aware of that. that's why I give +1 for that available feature at quire.
and maybe OOT here, is there any plan on adopting markdown spec from commonmark?
sleeping panda, Jun 29, 2017
Hi Walter, Wonderful. Happy to hear you love Quire! 😃 By adding links to particular tasks, did you mean you would like to add links (hyperlinks) to task names in the task tree view? If so, may I ask why? Example would be appreciated.

hmm... why did my name changed to previous one in quire's feedback, while in my account-setting (tab:general), it still using sleeping panda as my name?
sleeping panda, Jun 30, 2017
Hi Jason, thanks for your feedback. You could refer to tasks from different projects, but as you said, you would need to find the URL first. I understand why needing to find the URL first would be a little frustrating. If you want to mention other users in Quire, type @, for referring tasks, use #. Anyway, I will pass your suggestion to our team!

+1 (or 1000) for common markdown.
Also, re: this request, I'd love to see Hypertext enabled similar to what Asana released in 2012. Just start typing @ and then you can link to either users, tasks, or projects (maybe). That way, you wouldn't have to know (or go find) the specific URL.
See: information pertaining to Asana's implementation of Hypertext.

Thanks for your understanding:) usability on mobile browsers is definitely our next major target. Happy rocking the world with Quire!

Not sure if this is exactly what he meant, but I like using links for referencing, such as "Logo ideas" with links to images, or "Potential venues" with links to locations or reviews, possible purchases online or stores, whatever I need or find interesting as part of the project or list. It is invaluable.
It is awkward to me when I paste in a link to reference later or share and I have to then select-all and copy it in order to go to the address. I'd prefer if I could just click on the link (outside of edit mode) and it would take me to the address in a new tab.
Thanks!

@tomyeh , interesting. I did refresh this page (in chrome desktop browser) serveral times before. in fact I try to login from firefox as well (first time login via firefox desktop browser and in private mode) just to make sure there's no cache-related issue. additionally. somehow, right now, it changed back to the new one after I refresh the chrome desktop browser. thank you for your respond, I just wondering how this could be happened. well, my best guest are about the local storage sync issue. and I think this is happened after I login via mobile browser.
btw, this isn't the first time I'm using heavily javascript apps. it feels light in desktop browser, but feel sluggish in mobile browser. as this app are in still development mode. I acknowledge that some anomalies may appear then gone with the wind without a trace.
keep the great work quire. I love this app, truly <3

+1 for markdown feature
sleeping panda, Jun 27, 2017
@sleeping.panda About the name-change issue, it is a technology difficulty that we can not update every project you ever participated. It is too costly to scan them all.
Rather, we update projects and organizations only if you're one of members. To see it in a public project, you have to reload the Web page. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Jen,
What you have described is actually possible.
For example, in a task description or comment, you can type [Quire](https://quire.io/b574/s/img/website/quire_logo.svg) to link to an image and [Google](https://www.google.com) to link to a site. Then, you can simply click on Quire and Google to go to that image or site.
I hope this helps. 😃

lot of apps are supporting markdown as time goes by. ghost, github, bitbucket, todolist and task management apps including quire. they had their own markdown flavored. while moving back and forth among apps with markdown support, a markdown standardization would give benefits to anyone who use those apps. while myself using an app to write down any ideas that came across. I love the idea with that standardization . so users don't need to distracted with adapting each app's markdown flavored spec.
discourse already use it (well of course we know, jeff atwood one of the commonmark's founder would use it at discourse). I hope more apps wouldn't mind to contribute and adopting commonmark. I believe, this small accessory will help users in certain way.

Hi sleeping panda, Got it. 😃 Humm, is there a specific reason you were asking about adopting commonmark? It is not in our plan at the moment.
Crystal, Jun 30, 2017
Hi sleeping panda, In case you did not know, Markdown is available in Quire. 😃 You can click on the "?" icon in the bottom-right of a task description or comment to get more tips on it.
