Quire is honestly almost exactly what I was looking for. If it had start or defer dates, it would be almost perfect. See Omnifocus or The Hit List for examples.
Thanks!

I noticed after I posted this that there are, indeed, start dates. They just aren't so obvious.

The Hit List doesn't seem to be under active development anymore. It's also a bit buggy.
Without a quick add feature, Quire would never become my main to do app. But it could be nice to use for teams.

Hi Ben,
Duly noted.
Fyi, with start date, here is a quick way to add it to a task: typing <;> in the task name.
For example, when you type <5/4;5/10> and press Enter, the task will have a start date of May 4th and a due date of May 10th. And if you type <5/4;>, it will just have a start date of May 4th. See here for more details.

Hi Ben, Happy to hear that! 😃 I am curious though, looking at your feedback, you seem to be a fan of The Hit list. So what made you want to migrate to Quire? We actually have start date (and time!). Please see here and our blog for more info. And to defer, you can simply click on "Next Week" in the date picker. Let me know if these help! 😃
